From Carbonization to Export-Ready Natural Hardwood Charcoal
After approximately 45–55 days of carbonization, the production process reaches its final stage.
For natural hardwood charcoal, the work does not end when carbonization is complete. The charcoal must first cool completely, then undergo careful inspection, sorting, sizing and packaging before it is prepared for international shipment.
At Le Gia Import Export Co Ltd. this final stage focuses on maintaining product integrity and preparing the charcoal according to customer requirements.
1. Harvesting the Charcoal – Quality First
After the carbonization process is completed, the kiln enters the cooling stage.
The kiln is allowed to cool completely before being carefully opened.
This is an important part of the production process because the charcoal needs to be handled carefully after the long carbonization period.
Once the kiln is opened, each batch is inspected.
Our workers carefully assess the charcoal and select suitable pieces for the next stage of production.
Only charcoal that meets our required quality criteria proceeds to sorting and packaging.
2. Sorting the Natural Hardwood Charcoal
After harvesting, the charcoal is sorted according to size and customer requirements.
Depending on the intended application, different customers may require different charcoal sizes.
The selected charcoal may then undergo further preparation, including:

✔️ Cutting
✔️ Trimming
✔️ Visual quality inspection
This process helps us prepare the charcoal according to the specifications required by different international customers and applications.
3. Customer-Specific Packaging
Packaging is an important part of preparing natural hardwood charcoal for export.
At Le Gia, packaging can be adapted according to customer requirements.
Depending on the project, charcoal can be packed in:
- PP bags
- Carton boxes
- Customer-specified packaging formats
For private-label and OEM projects, packaging specifications can be discussed according to the customer’s requirements and target market.
4. Controlled Storage Before Packaging
Before final packaging, the selected charcoal is stored in a controlled environment for at least 48 hours according to our production process.
This preparation period helps us manage the charcoal before it enters the final packing stage.
After this period, the charcoal is packed according to the agreed specifications and prepared for international transportation.
